Started in 2023 by two Hudson County Community College professors—Sean Egan (English) and Tony Acevedo (History)—the Hudson Oral History Project began with a focus on the dynamic Jersey City neighborhood, Journal Square, a project which is still ongoing. The program we have added all share the same goal: using interviews to engage with our diverse community and preserve its history.
